Quintessence Gallery is a company owned by Chief Mrs Aino Oni Okpaku, a Swedish Nigerian born in Sweden. It is a business that has been running to value, promote and develop African arts and crafts both nationally and internationally. Its dealings are in art and crafts galleries, art and craft shops, textiles, furnishing, fashion, artworks, paintings, drums, sculptures, gift items from artisans (this is to encourage local artisans), toys, bags, jewelries, books, ceramics etc. One of its most distinguished collections in their stock is textiles and it consists of all types of woven fabrics like Akwete, Aso-Oke, and fabrics from Okene, Iseyin,  and any other part of Africa that has traditional history.

Quintessence got its collection as a result of experience, fieldwork and research. It is not uncommon to hear soft music playing, from albums considered to be oldies, to welcome every customer. You get to see different kinds of art works, books and  magazines. You also get to relax, enjoy a glass of water, coffee or wine. They offer a great shopping experience and services.

Quintessence also engage in children and adults clothing production, home furnishing like throw pillows, duvets, place mats etc. Their staff are well trained and offer great services. Currently Quintessence is involved in an exchange programme between Swedish textile designers and their weavers in South-Western part of Nigeria.
