500ml Winsor and Newton Galeria Acrylic – Mars Black is an acrylic paint ideal for artists who want high quality at an economic price. Which offers a smooth, free flowing consistency, extremely versatile, easily diluted with water and suitable for a variety of techniques.
Galeria uses either the same pigments as the professional range or a similar pigment, but in a lower concentration. Not recommended for use on shiny, greasy surfaces such as glass, unprimed metal or surfaces with painted colors. Galeria acrylics have also been formulated to be fully compatible with range of Winsor & Newton Artists’ Acrylic Colors and mediums.
Mars Black is a heavy opaque pigment, a dense black color with a brown undertone. It is made from mineral iron oxide and was therefore named after the alchemical name for iron: Mars.
